Struggling to Sleep? You’re Not Alone.

If you’re staring at the ceiling trying to fall asleep, watching the clock, or waking up throughout the night, you likely have insomnia. Insomnia isn’t just an occasional bad night. It can persist for months or years, making it hard to function during the day.

Common Symptoms of Insomnia

✔️ Trouble falling asleep, even when you’re sleepy
✔️ Waking up frequently during the night
✔️ Waking up too early and struggling to go back to sleep
✔️ Anxiety about sleep or frustration with bedtime

Are you super anxious about sleep and how you’ll function the next day? Do you look at the clock at 4am and cringe? Is your lack of sleep preventing you from living your best life?

How Therapy Can Help You Sleep Again

The good news is that insomnia is treatable and therapy can be more effective than medication in the long run. We don’t treat with sleep hygiene – you’ve probably already tried that and melatonin and tart cherry juice and meditation and boring books and sleep stories and ….. Bottom line is those aren’t effective strategies or they would have already worked for you. Let’s try something different!!

Treatment for insomnia typically only takes 6-8 sessions. We’ll meet via video for 53 minute sessions. Typically we meet weekly. We’ll work together to create a treatment plan that feels doable. We can also work with your prescriber to get you off of sleep aids.

Together we’ll identify and address the root causes of your insomnia. We use multiple therapeutic modalities to build the best program for treating sleep disorders including CBT-I which is the gold standard treatment for insomnia. (Other modalities that are mixed in include ACT, IFS, MI & SE)
